What happens when the Daedalus arrives from Earth with supplies (not for the first time, a time after that)
Precious Cargo
Stephen had never expected to witness the same level of excitement as a group of deprived scientists discovering the Daedalus's hold was full of coffee, Coke and microwave pizza. Yet the suppressed excitement pulsing through the conference room this time was almost frightening.
He nodded to the marine beside him to open the case and bring out the first bundle.
"Dr Parrish...?"
The dark-haired man who accepted the letters was tearing the first one open before he'd taken two steps away.
"Dr Bryce...?"
Stephen turned away to hide his smile. Some days it was good to be a glorified errand-boy.

An interview with Woolsey and one (or more) of the Atlantis expedition - This prompted several responses.
Defending her honor
Clearing his throat nervously, Woolsey swiveled his chair to face the screen on the wall where Doctor Kavanagh's smug face had appeared.
As Kavanagh's charge sheet unrolled, John's hand dropped to cradle his sidearm. He was half grateful Kavanagh wasn't in the room right then, and half sorry that Ronon hadn't had more time to "persuade" Kavanagh to give them the code key that, of course, he'd never possessed.
When the video ended, Woolsey swiveled back and raised an inquiring eyebrow.
John stared back unapologetically. "If you expect me to dignify that self-serving crap with a reply, think again."
Serve Right
"You've been a member of Colonel Sheppard's team for... two years now?" Woolsey squinted at a file.
"Yes," Teyla smiled at him. "Colonel Sheppard knew I had visited many worlds in this galaxy to trade."
"And Doctor Weir left you in charge of Atlantis when she returned to Earth?"
"Yes."
"Hmm. You were replaced as leader of your own people when you joined Colonel Sheppard's team, weren't you?"
"No, I am still their leader, though they are on the mainland and I am here." Teyla smiled again. "A leader may serve her people even if she is not with them."
Spin
"And Doctor Weir authorised this experiment in which you blew up three quarters of a solar system?"
"Five sixths, actually," Rodney corrected Woolsey. "Well, yes, but she wasn't happy about that. Far from it." Rodney winced as he remembered that dressing down.
"I see." Woolsey steepled his fingers. "But she knew it was a likely outcome?"
"Well, yes, but you see, I asked Sheppard to trust me, and he convinced Elizabeth."
Woolsey picked up his pen. "Does Doctor Weir often allow herself to be overruled by the military commander of Atlantis?"
"No, no, no! It's not like that at all...."

Shep trying hard to play his guitar after he hasn't played for a while
Interlude
John ignored the dust-motes dancing in the faint sunbeams criss-crossing the basement, and prised the lid from the crate. Over a year since it was shipped from McMurdo, along with a cryptic letter.
He reached for the guitar. Hopelessly out of tune, of course. He fiddled with the pegs until it sounded almost right. The frets felt strange under fingers more accustomed to cradling a P-90, and he struggled at first to find the chords. Gradually, his confidence grew.
Absorbed, he didn't notice his grandmother pausing at the top of the stairs to listen, a smile on her face.

Girls poker night, after Cadman and Beckett are going out
Contrast
"So?" Carolyn added a couple more matchsticks to the pot. "What's he like?"
Laura rolled her eyes. "You work with him."
"Yes, but," Carolyn smirked, "I only know him professionally."
Laura shrugged and matched Carolyn's bet. "I guess he's kinda sweet."
"Sweet?" Alicia snorted. She put her cards down and gave Laura a hard stare. "He hasn't even kissed you yet, has he?"
Laura blushed. "Yes, he has! He's just... a bit slow, that's all. A gentleman."
Lindsey, throwing down her hand in disgust, smiled sympathetically at Laura. "Hey, I've dated enough flyboys. Slow and sweet sounds good to me!"

Boys poker night. Or Boys something-other-than-poker night, whatever they might get up to :)
Male Bonding
Making sure Elizabeth and Teyla were out of earshot, John quietly asked Steven, "Did you get it?"
Caldwell nodded. "Everything we need."
Grinning, John left the conference room, and ran into Rodney and Radek.
"Did he get the stuff?" Rodney burst out.
"Keep your voice down," John hissed. Rodney glowered. "Yes, he got it. My quarters, 8pm."
Reaching the mess hall, John passed behind Lorne and muttered, "We have a go, Major."
Later, as Rodney handed round beers and popcorn, John hit the DVD remote. "Excellent! Wouldn't want the girls crashing us watching the game. At least: not this time."

Rodney and Zelenka pulling an all-nighter
Essentials
Rodney reached for the coffee pot, only to find it empty. He thrust it at Radek. "Your turn."
"In minute. I am just...." Radek peered at his screen.
"I can't work without coffee!" Rodney snapped impatiently.
"And I am in middle of delicate calculation!" Radek pointedly refused to look at Rodney.
"Not as if I won't have to check...."
Rodney's rant was cut short by a cough from the door. They turned.
"Gentlemen" Elizabeth lifted the full coffee pot a fraction. "Thought you might be in need of this."
"Is it morning already?" Rodney rubbed a hand across his eyes.

Rodney writes (or records) a letter to Sam
Testament
Colonel Carter. Samantha. I, uh, well, assuming I don't get out of this, which is more than likely, since Lieutenant Ford has gone mad, and has us all doped up on Wraith enzyme, and has this ludicrous plan involving a Wraith Dart and... oh, where was I? Anyway, not that this is ever likely to find you anyway, but just in case it does, and these are the last words you ever hear from me, I just wanted to say I, uh, really admire you. I mean, you're beautiful and smart and.... Oh, I never stood a chance, did I?

A discussion about hair
Natural
"How do you get your hair like that?"
John shot Rodney a weary look. "It just grows this way."
"Hmmph."
John could tell Rodney wasn't satisfied with the answer. He waited.
"No hair gel? Mousse?"
"Rodney," John tried to keep his tone even, "how many times have we been off world together? Have you ever seen me with hair gel?"
"Hmmph." Again the sound of a less-than-convinced Rodney.
John casually pulled up the HUD as they approached the Stargate. "Some of us have it." He grinned to himself. "And some of us don't."
This time Rodney's "Hmmph" was decidedly irritated.

Two (or more) of the expedition not being able to understand each other
due to their accents
You say potato....
The puddlejumper skimmed over the planet's surface towards the mountains ahead. Inside, there was silence. At last Carson, leaning forward from the back seat, murmured, "Beautiful."
"What?" On the other side of the puddlejumper, Rodney glanced up from his datapad. "Oh, yes, very impressive." He went back to tapping away at his readings. "Finally, a planet with something other than endless pine forest...."
"The glaciers...," Carson breathed admiringly.
"Huh?" Rodney looked up again. "The what...?"
"The glaciers." Seeing Rodney still frowning, Carson snapped. "The big, white, icy things."
"Oh, you mean the glaciers," Rodney retorted. "Why didn't you just say so?"
Note: The more usual pronunciation of glacier in Britain is with the a as in cat and the ci making two distinct sounds i.e, gla-see-er. In North America, it's with the a as in day and the ci making a single sh sound i.e. glay-sheer. I know this because sgafan and I had much the same conversation and transatlantic confusion (although much less snippy!) at some point during our road trip to Mt St Helens.

Something featuring the ex-Wraith humans in 3x02 Misbegotten
Secrets and Lies
I wake. White above me.
Wrong.
I sit. Others in long rows either side, Sleeping still or also half awake. Dressed in white.
Wrong.
Dizziness assaults me as I try to remember where, why, who.... I clutch my head.
"Easy, son."
Blue eyes shining with concern, a strong arm around my shoulder supporting me.
"Wrong," I murmur.
His face is anxious "You've been ill. A plague...."
Wrong.
I see a man in green and brown, carrying some kind of weapon, standing outside the hooked-back tent flap.
Wrong.
"Here, son. Let me give you something to make you feel better."
Wrong.

Some implications of what they did to the Wraith they humanised in 3x02
Misbegotten (and that would be any of the things they did, since none of it
was particularly nice)
Aftershock
Carson woke, sweat chilling his body.
That voice, whispering inside his head, promising, threatening, taking....
The dream faded a little as he stared into the dark. A little, but not enough. Blindly he groped on the nightstand for the pills.
***
"Carson?" Kate's voice startled him. His hands slipped on the medicine bottle he was refilling. Tablets scattered.
Kate quickly bent to help pick them up. "Zoloft, Restoril...?" She weighed the tablets in her hand, not looking at him. "Doctor Lansing told me she asked you to check into those going missing."
"Kate, I...." Carson swallowed. Busted. "Help me...," he whispered.
Note: Zoloft is an antidepressant used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder. Restoril is the brand name of the formulation of Temazepam, a powerful and highly addictive sleeping tablet, used by the USAF.

What Sheppard did after 3x03 Irresistable
Lonely Hearts
"So, we can cancel the caterers and the band, then?" When Elizabeth looked confused, John smirked, "Now the wedding to Lucius is off."
Elizabeth went red, but shot back, "And you've never been led astray by your hormones?"
His turn to look sheepish. Then, curious: "You never wanted to get married?"
She hesitated. "I thought maybe Simon...."
He looked away. "Sorry."
"It's OK." A wry smile. "Apparently he wasn't Mr Right after all. Couldn't handle who I am, what I do." She paused. "You?"
His mouth quirked. "Same here.... Never met a woman who understood. Doesn't stop me looking.... Hoping...."

How Sheppard got Rodney back for what he did during 3x03 Irresistable
Wild-Goose Chase
"Hmm," John guided the puddlejumper into the bay, "handling seems a bit off. Rodney, would you check her out?"
Rodney rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes, I'll get Zelenka to take a look."
"Rather you did it. As you have the gene. You'll be able to test...."
"Okay, okay...."
***
Rodney waved John into the pilot's seat. "I've spent half the past week crawling over her. Can't find anything wrong."
John activated the controls. "Hmm, seems fine now." He gave Rodney a seraphic smile. "Must have imagined it. Probably from being so tired from cleaning your quarters...."
Rodney narrowed his eyes. "You....!"

*not reading your drabbles, since I'm still stuck somewhere in S1--though SGA is now showing on Dutch t.v. at last*
Yes, I'm back!
I had a great holiday - there will be pic spam soon....
Hope you had a good time too - must go and look at your travel diary. *g*
And n/p on the drabbles, though I would encourage you to keep watching SGA. *g* (S2 is a bit patchy, although Shep gets hotter by the episode, but S3 has been excellent in all departments so far.)

He's so nasty, but funny :)
Of the ones I read on the forum, I liked boys football games night and the lengths they went to to make sure there were no women. And the ones with John Crichton I really liked.
Those are the ones that stick out in my memory, after reading lots :) I have forgotten about coming up with prompts as I watched episodes as well. I have a SGA ficathon fic to write, so once I start I'm sure I'll think of some more for you.
Glad you liked the drabbles
Btw, I just added in a couple more I think you already saw at the forum: the football games night one and the one about the deWraithified guys in 3x02.
I might have to ask for some more guitar-related drabbles.
Hmm, well, you may have exhausted the limits of my guitar-playing knowledge. *g* Although I guess I can always do my usual "research" trick and go ask someone who knows.

Cool! Look forward to seeing them. What's the SGA ficathon you're doing?
(And I love your bunny icon... was that a pic you took on your recent holiday?)
Re: Glad you liked the drabbles
Yay!

Yes, I saw those
What's the SGA ficathon you're doing?
It's the SG rare pairings one, I'm doing one with Elizabeth/Jack set in Atlantis. Or will be once I've finished my Doctor Who ficathon story first :)
(And I love your bunny icon... was that a pic you took on your recent holiday?)
Thanks. It was actually taken by my dad when he and mum went to Monkey World recently (as they live nearby). He took photos of the bunnies they have there specially for me :)
Re: Glad you liked the drabbles
I added in a new drabble about Some implications of what they did to the Wraith they humanised in 3x02 Misbegotten (and that would be any of the things they did, since none of it was particularly nice) Carson gets rather a hard time....

Just have the drabble about Shep's revenge on Rodney left to do from this set of prompts. I have ideas.... *g*
Re: Glad you liked the drabbles
And I'm looking forward to seeing Shep's revenge drabble now...
Hope the ficathon is going well
It actually is, now I'm past the first couple of drafts. I don't suppose you'd like to beta it? (it's not due till 11th Dec and hopefully I'll have it finished long before then) It is Jack/Elizabeth, which was a great thing to get since I have a not-that-secret love for that pairing.
Re: Glad you liked the drabbles
*blush* Thanks!
Can I ask for a follow-up? :)
Sure... although I didn't really think about what might happen next, so it could be a while before it appears.... *g*

Glad to hear it's going well, and I'd be delighted to beta it... although I should warn you that Jack is, er, not exactly my favourite SG character.... (So if that means you don't want me to beta it now, I won't be offended!)
Re: Glad you liked the drabbles
Oh, I can wait :)
And that's excellent revenge, made me laugh.
although I should warn you that Jack is, er, not exactly my favourite SG character
I've actually reached the stage where I'm happy with it (it probably helped to work on it not last thing at night when I'm tired :)), so I'll send it, since I don't mind what your opinion of Jack is. If you think it's going to affect your ability to beta it, then I don't mind if you say no.
Re: Glad you liked the drabbles
One day at a time
Carson tried to steady his shaking hands as he pushed another slide under the microscope. He'd not be much use in surgery right now.
Bending to peer at the preparation of Wraith cells, he felt a sudden surge of fear, the pressure of straps cutting into his wrists, the force of Michael's mind in his own, searching, probing, demanding the location of the failsafe....
Coming to, he found himself crouched on the floor, head in hands, panting hard.
Slowly he stood up. He looked at his watch. Only another two hundred and three minutes until his next appointment with Kate.
