Because apparently I cannot resist fic challenges....

I've signed up to some more....

1. [livejournal.com profile] spook_me is a Halloween ficathon: you get to choose a creature, and then get sent two secret prompts (which this year are titles of 40s and 50s pulp novels) and have to write something involving at least one of the prompts. Last year, I wrote A shadow of things that might be, a Gondorian ghost story.

Sign ups for this one are open until 15 September if you fancy taking part.

2. [livejournal.com profile] story_lottery challenges you to write seven stories around prompts drawn by lottery or based on your own choice of numbers (before the prompts are revealed). I didn't do very well at this last round--I only wrote one story--but I like the prompts much better this time, so I'm hoping to do more stories.

As with the [livejournal.com profile] cliche_bingo challenge, if you'd like to make suggestions for my muses to consider (in other words, if you want to nudge them to write something in the fandom you'd rather I wrote more in *g*), my prompt table for this challenge is

[livejournal.com profile] story_lottery 0/7
01.1 - a shooting star 02.2 - JOKER PROMPT 03.3 - a flash of lightning
04.12 - a sunset 05.19 - a dandelion 06.29 - a camera flash
07. BONUS PROMPT! 9 - a shadow

The Joker Prompt means I can pick anything from the Story Lottery Prompt Table that isn't already in my table.

3. And I found another fic bingo challenge! This is a really fun one called [info - community] talk_bingo where you're given 24 prompts (and a wildcard square) and asked to write stories which feature dialogue related to the prompt in some way. Sign ups are open until the end of September if you want to play.

Again, please feel free to prompt me if you'd like to see any of these prompts applied to particular characters, situations or fandoms. I can't promise stories will result, but you have a chance to get me writing in the fandom you'd prefer.

Just a reminder that my current fandoms are Tolkien, Stargate: Atlantis, Supernatural, The Kill Point, Jericho and Firefly (umm, maybe...).

For the central square, I can pick anything from the full list of prompts that isn't already on my card.

Here's my card (behind a cut to spare your flist/rlist):

Hmm... Every Morning....

The Team on Atlantis must have their little morning routines? Ronon, Teyla, Sheppard and McKay (and/or whoever else strikes your fancy?)

I wonder if Teyla knows any sign language as a way to communicate with some exotic race of humans in Pegasus... (In Sign Language)

Wonder what it was like the first time John gave McKay a flying lesson in a Jumper? (and I mean before TDO. Sheppard mentioned a "five minute flying lesson" in Childhood's End... (Driver and Passenger)

*flings ideas at Tanaqui's muse to see if any stick...*

*grabs Tanaqui's muse and tries to pull her back to SGA, even for a little while...*
