Day 5: Night Terrors

paranoidangel42 asked for some of Estel's life growing up in Rivendell, but not featuring Elrond, the twins, Glorfindel, or any of the usual suspects.
Night Terrors
Estel wriggled away from the cloth wielded by his mother. "But I bathed in the river this afternoon with 'Randir and Gal'thil–." The rest of his complaint was lost as Gilraen successfully pursued him.
"And then the three of you wrestled on the river bank. And after that you had bread and jam for tea." She seized his head and scrubbed roughly behind his ears.
A little later, his skin pinked by her exertions, he allowed himself to be tucked into bed. "Tell me 'bout the Last King and the Snowmen?" he mumbled sleepily.
Gilraen smiled. "Once upon a time...."
