Daily drabble challenge - Day 3 - Seeking Perfection
Day 3:
elena_tiriel kindly shared blank versions of lots of lovely icons she made for the MEFAs, so I can use them in my dreamwidth journal and with this drabble project. In payment, I wrote a drabble for her about Elladan and Elrohir frolicking in the water.

Seeking Perfection
Many waterfalls tumbled from the high moors into the deep-cleft valley, feeding the laughing Loudwater. For a span of summers—when other, grimmer duties further afield permitted—the brothers explored the pools beneath, seeking the perfect spot.
In some, the banks were soft; lithe bodies emerged more muddied than they entered. In others, sharp gravel pricked uncomfortably at bared feet. Some were too distant, some too busy with other bathers. Down the years, the debate raged.
Yet there came to be one single spot towards which both—There? There!—would turn their steps, strip their tunics, soak away the weariness of their dark hunts.
Feel free to leave more prompts in comments to any of the posts.

Down the years, the debate raged. I had a good laugh at this, thinking how for us this would mean a few decades at best. For these guys, a few centuries, likely! *g*
