Daily drabble challenge - Day 21 - The Shire Cup

Since I'm off to Wimbledon to watch tennis "today", you're getting this very, very, very early Monday morning....

Day 21: [personal profile] scribblesinink suggested since you're going to watch tennis...something about the M-E equivalent. Somehow, tennis didn't quite work (although maybe after a day watching, I'll be inspired), but it's been kind of hard around these parts to ignore that there's some kind of World Cup thingy going on. Lol! I can so see this happening. You did a wonderful job of showing the gradual progression from "rough ball game" to World Cup. And we're left to figure out if this is football/soccer, rugby, or what. *g*

So, that's how it happened, eh? And we're still plagued by it all these years later! (My clients would say "blessed," though.) Heh!
