Prowling his host’s study, Elrohir trailed a finger along the spines of the books lining one wall. "I see you have copies of the volumes our father dowered."

"The King was kind enough...," Faramir, pouring wine, paused and dipped his head in quick apology. "I hope you do not feel the lack of them in the North."

Elladan laughed. "Nay! We had study enough in them as children!"

"Besides," Elrohir joined them and raised a goblet, "Father knew well what he was about. With what else could Arwen so easily win the favour of her husband’s chief counsellor and friend?"
