...I haven't dropped off the face of the earth.
I have, however, been somewhat quiet here of late because I've been distracted by another shiny new fandom. If you're interested, you can see what crazy things I've been up to over at my Stargate: Atlantis LJ.
And I haven't deserted Tolkien entirely, although I have only written one Tolkien drabble in six weeks....
Loqi wanted coming-of-age drabbles.
Old enough
Nursing a tankard of ale, Dírhael gazed across the room.
He had thought her too young, the Chieftain's son too old. Yet he saw her poise as she greeted the wedding guests, and the warmth in the smiles of the lords of the Dúnedain, and their ladies, as they left the newlyweds to pass on into the feasting hall.
He saw, too, how Arathorn touched his wife's elbow from time to time. Reassurance. Pride. Affection.
Gilraen, turning from one guest to greet another, caught her father's eye and smiled at him. Dírhael raised his mug in salute, and drank deeply.
