Amid the fighting, and as the danger increases, he finds himself growing closer to one of the new settlers, a schoolteacher called Heather Lisinski. Meanwhile, he crosses paths with Robert Hawkins, who claims to be a trading agent for an Ohio factory owner, but who seems to have an agenda of his own….

So, I've been learning Dutch (because I'm going to visit scribblesinink this summer). Which is possibly entirely unnecessary, but my brain likes a challenge. Apparently my muses also like a challenge. Although I'm only in week 3 of my course, they decided I really needed to practise my Dutch by writing fanfic in Dutch....

I had to take some sneak peaks ahead to weeks 4 and 5 for some things and also needed something from week 8, although I didn't realize that until I got the fic betaed.
