miss_morland asked for A slash prompt, if you feel like it: Aragorn/Faramir, 'forbidden'. I don't write much slash, and Aragorn/Faramir isn't one of the pairings I see easily, but this nagged at me to do something with it.... *g*
Against the Power that now arises
It started as a whisper, but over the years it grew to a shout. To where it could no longer be ignored when they were in the same room—and when they were not. Counsellors whispered of a rift between King and Steward, though none could point to the policy that caused it.
Faramir remembered unmarried men he had served with in his youth who had felt such things. It was not forbidden, exactly, but discretion was required, and there should be no disparity in rank.
Aragorn was his King.... And none could doubt they each loved their wives.
And yet....
