Day 72
A friend in need
Huan watched the lovers depart, noble forms clothed in the dreadful hame of Draugluin and the grim fell of Thuringwëthil. Now he loped down the aisles of the forest, great hound of war, and called to bird and beast alike.
Swallows carried his word north; swans bore it south. To where deer and fox and wildcat could or would not venture. Last but not least his prayer came to the ears of wise Thorondor, who ever spied out the devices of the Enemy.
In the name of the Valar, aid them! Beren, friend of bird and beast. Lúthien the fair.
