Day 264
A Rude Awakening
Startled awake by a sense that something was out of place, Boromir groggily groped for a blade to defend himself – only to find that the other in the dimly-lit bedchamber already had a hand on his sword.
He took in a deep, sharp breath, and the lean, tanned muscles of his stomach tensed as he anticipated what the shadowy figure beside him would do next. Their gazes locked; no need for words when meaning was so plain.
So this is how it is to be....
At last, the other moved. Slowly and carefully, Boromir's bride sheathed her new husband's weapon.
