rakshathedemon asked for mail carriers - I've always believed that Aragorn and Faramir would start creating some kind of rudimentary postal service to facilitate communication with Arnor - Eowyn would end up breeding the best type of horse or pony to carry the bearers through the kingdom. It could be expanded later...

"Ah, there you are Haerandir. Here are the papers from the King and myself to go to–." Faramir broke off his instructions as he noted the errand-rider's high colour. "What is it? Has something troubled you?"
The errand-rider turned crimson. "Nothing, my lord. Simply some of the servants importuning me to carry messages to kin in the City. 'Tis the third time this week."
"You know, Faramir," Aragorn lifted his gaze from the document he was reading, "we might learn from the Halflings. They have messengers – they call them postmen – who carry letters between ordinary folk as well as lords...."
