Mar. 13th, 2008 11:19 pmA follow up to yesterday's Having Kittens, prompted by Raksha's comment that perhaps Faramir, who can master beasts, can get dog and kitten to get along.

Peace Treaty
Faramir listened to his children’s pleadings and his wife’s ultimatum and, with doubtful heart, undertook the thankless task.
Hûmorn, leashed, sat quietly at his side. Faramir signalled and a groom brought out the kitten and set it down. Blinking, it cautiously began to explore its surroundings.
Hûmorn tensed, nose quivering, weight forward, but Faramir’s steady voice and gentling hand held him in place. At last, Faramir allowed him to walk slowly towards and around the kitten, which stopped and surveyed them with feline hauteur.
Faramir let dog and cat approach. They touched noses. The kitten rubbed itself against Hûmorn’s legs....
