allie_meril's prompt How about Vidumavi and Valacar? I have a long-stalled idea about them that just won't jump-start. Maybe if I had some inspiration in drabble form, wink wink nudge nudge. :). This time I'm giving Vidumavi's side, in part inspired by this quote found in elena_tiriel's fabulous bio of Vidumavi:

Day 346
A fair and noble lady of high courage
He was soft-spoken, courteous, attentive. He conversed as if her words carried equal weight with her brothers’. His eyes spoke his admiration, but shyly.
A charmer, then – yet there was no deceit in him.
He would not make her an exotic dalliance soon left behind. But nor would he woo her without speaking plainly of the travails an outlander Queen of Gondor would face.
Galadwen, painted and tricked out for another formal occasion at which the fine ladies of Gondor would snipe, had only a moment’s passing regret she had traded Vidumavi for all the years with her beloved Valacar.
