It's no wonder batshit fanficcers like Lady Sybilla think they can publish crappy "tribute" novels when idiots like this are trying to do it to respectable authors like JD Salinger.
Looks like maybe someone didn't understand the 50-year copyright rule applies to 50 years after you're dead, not after the thing was published (for literary works; and I think it's now 75 years after the author dies in the UK anyway)? Or thought JD Salinger was dead already?
