Jake watched Heather walk down between the cages, turning her head from side to side and apparently examining them and their occupants, though he noticed her gaze swept over them quickly. )

The discomfort of lying curled up with his knees up by his chin was probably what brought Jake slowly out of unconsciousness. )

Part Two

This week I posted another Jericho story, which was written for [personal profile] scribblesinink's birthday and for [livejournal.com profile] girlsavesboyfic, The Unexpected Mistress. And when I went and checked what [personal profile] scribblesinink and I had posted at A03, I discovered I missed an important milestone when I posted my previous story, for [community profile] ladiesbigbang: [personal profile] scribblesinink and I have now posted 100 Jericho stories between us! \o/ (So this latest one makes 101. *g*)

Also, I have been stupidly busy with work (and stressed by idiot clients) for the last month, which means I have felt distinctly unfannish, lacking muses and time to indulge. :-( Except I apparently need to redefine what "haven't written much..." means for me. Since, in addition to the aforementioned Jericho story, which came in at over 12,000 words, I also published three sets of drabbles that bidders won in the [livejournal.com profile] help_pakistan auction. These are now public for everyone, and are:

For [personal profile] celli: A Taxing Task – five taxfic drabbles written for Celli - Five taxfic drabbles in five fandoms: Supernatural, Stargate: Atlantis, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, due South.

For [livejournal.com profile] dkpalaska: Thy Sea So Wide, My Boat So Small - A drabble series written for Denise's prompt of one of Imrahil’s loves: boats.

For [livejournal.com profile] adlanth: The memory of many things both glad and sorrowful - A drabble series written for Adlanth's prompt asking for related drabbles from The Silmarillion and/or Lord of the Rings involving Elrond and Gil-galad.

Now I just need to work on the longer story that [livejournal.com profile] dkpalaska won in the [livejournal.com profile] help_pakistan auction, a story for [personal profile] spook_me, a birthday story for [livejournal.com profile] sgafan and, if there's time, another story for Awesome!Jakeverse. Plus, um, I think I maybe owe some people some betas...?
