A question I too would like answered, Tanaqui. You give us a drabble every day, yet they always feel fresh, and there's such nice language. I loved this!
I know someone (celandineb, I *think*) wrote a story about Denethor/Finduilas during the Thorongil years, that included Imrahil's relationship to Thorongil. Imrahil (assuming the author got her years correct) would have been in his late teens, and that's something that struck me. He would have been idealistic and impressionable still, and when Aragorn showed up much later in his life, it would have felt like those dreams were being brought back to life. Something akin to Theoden's marvelling at the hobbits, who are creatures of legend walking in the flesh to the Rohirrim. Anyway, your drabble had a whiff of that hope and connection, and I really liked it.
