State of Me

So now that I've waved goodbye to scribblesinink after her visit (which was lots and lots of fun, but also lots and lots of tiring - much fresh air, walking, driving and being fannish), I'm catching up on all the stuff I didn't get done while we were visiting nice places in glorious weather and/or squeeing fannishly together -- and figuring out what I need to do over the next few weeks. *g*

I was hoping to do my month-long Tolkien drabble-a-day fest in May (and make it my contribution to the Three Weeks for Dreamwidth fest), but I think I have to much else going on to do it justice. So I'm going to push it back to June. But I will do it, never fear.

I already have the following great prompts.

• Estel nearly accidentally or getting close to finding out who he really is


• Gilraen dealing with living in Imladris and Arathorn's death when she and Aragorn first go there.


• Arwen is annoyed with Aragorn


• Faramir and Aragorn go swimming with young Eldarion on a hot day.


• Eldarion wants to be a Ranger.


• Faramir dislikes some new law Aragorn is planning.


• Arwen surprises her husband.

Feel free to drop me more prompts if you have them: any Tolkien character, any timeframe. Can't promise to definitely write them, but my muse does like a challenge.

One of the things I'm going to be tied up on in May is working on prepping for the 2010 MEFAs. (Not that your humble admin team hasn't been busy with boring backroom stuff since the 2009 MEFAs ended in January. You should be seeing some official posts in a while.)

I also need to do final edits to my au_bigbang story. Plus my what-were-you-thinking? side came out and I've signed up for two more challenges: femgenficathon (which I've done for the past two years and really enjoyed being involved in) and ladiesbigbang (since I had a blast writing the au bigbang and since scribblesinink gave me wordy muses that insist on being indulged). But both of those have distant deadlines! *g*

Oh yeah, and there's that pesky paid work stuff for my deadline-challenged clients to be done.... (Of course, that does mean I can eat and pay my electricity and internet bills, so you can actually have drabbles from me eventually. *g*)
