Day 26:
blslarner said how about Bilbo or someone else who is usually nature-friendly being terrifically annoyed at a bird?
Mockingbird
Bilbo often rose early to wander in Rivendell's woods and listen to the birds calling to each other, in courtship or to mark their territory, rippling songs answering back and forth.
This morning, however—.
Bilbo groggily grabbed a pillow and clamped it over his head. But even the best-quality down from the ducks that paddled on the Loudwater could not muffle the relentless cooing of a wood-pigeon perched in a tree outside Bilbo's window.
"Too—too—too much wine," the bird mocked him. Bilbo grumpily conceded the bird had a point: he had rather overindulged from Elrond's cellar the night before.
