A friend of mine was interested in seeing a crossover drabble, so I did some research and came up with this.
prompt: Kate/Fleur, stars
Not in the stars but in ourselves
"I always had this thing about the stars. Like they belonged to me and no one else...."
Kate blushed, but Teyla's inquiring look invited her to go on.
"My grandmother – my mum's mum – used to tell me stories about how my great-great-great-... oh I don't know how many greats... grandmother studied the stars. It was really unusual back then for even an aristocratic woman to be so educated. She kept a journal. It's in a museum now. I always thought she must have had such spirit, and been very clever, and when I was little, I wanted to be her...."

Thank you very much for sharing.

Umm, from what I've learned about the show, that's not really a good thing, is it?
I think I must hunt down a copy of this show and watch... it does sound fascinating.

>"Umm, from what I've learned about the show, that's not really a good thing, is it?"
Correct. :-) Lacroix is the villain, and a bad, bad thing to happen to anyone. Makes for excellent stories, though! :-)

All three seasons are available on DVD (finally!), and the first two seasons are available on Amazon Unbox for individual episode purchase and download. I have not yet heard that they are on Hulu or UTube, but they might be at any time. In the old days, I would, at this moment, offer to dub VHS tapes for you to get you started, but now that they've actually gone and produced professional editions for us, I need to encourage everyone to buy the real things. :-)
[Edited to add: However, if you still watch VHS, and live in North America, I have a box of assorted FK VHS tapes that need homes. I should make the offer.]
My favorite season is the first season. You pretty much can't go wrong with any first season episode, though some are even better than others. If you're looking for Claire Rankin's appearances, she guest stars in "Be My Valentine" (second season), has scenes recur as clips in "Last Knight" (series finale), and her character is mentioned by name and drives the plot in "Fallen Idol" (third season) though she doesn't personally appear there. Fleur is also tangentially, symbolically referenced in both "Trophy Girl" and "Dead of Night" (third season), and I like to argue that first-season's "Love You to Death" can also be retrospectively tied to her -- but that's the kind of canon-freak fan I am. ;-)
I hope a copy comes your way!

Alas, while I do have a VHS machine, I'm on the wrong side of the Atlantic (UK) so your tapes wouldn't be any use to me. :-( But I really appreciate the offer! And this is definitely a show I will hunt down at some point.
